An Example of an Author Study

The students did author studies this year as detailed here.  To be fair I decided to create my own author study on one of my favorite authors, Neil Gaiman, so here it is.

Pernille,

This looks great, and what a fun way of making an author study. Do you think that learning about Neil Gaiman as an author changed/improved the way you read his books? Did you effect you as a writer?

I think I might try creating such an author study with my kids.

As always, thanks for the creative and exciting ideas.

Hi Erin,
I think it helped me appreciate him more, however, following his blog has done that as well. When you are able to add the "personal" side to a writer they seem even more magical i feel. I loved this project because my students had choice within class decided requirements and their final projects turned out excellent, mine paled in comparison truly.
